EVANSVILLE, INDIANA…Tommy Lamar Ard, a resident of Evansville, Indiana, formerly of Dothan, died Tuesday morning, October 27, 2015, in an Evansville hospital. He was 55.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 30, 2015, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan, with Reverend Stacy Stafford officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Mr. Ard was born and reared in Dothan where he lived most of his lifetime before moving to Evansville. He was employed by St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center in Evansville. In earlier years, he was employed by General Cigar and Tobacco and also Goody’s, both in Dothan. Mr. Ard was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Ard, his father, Franklin Pearce Ard, and an infant daughter, Elizabeth Anne Ard.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Stephanie Pritchard, Napier Field; and Jessica Stokes (Daniel), Dothan; his mother, Louise Hutto Ard, Dothan; four brothers, Terry Ard, Tuscumbia, AL; Kevin Ard (Amy), Ashford; Louie Ard (Sue), Enterprise; Roy Ard (Diane), Dothan; a special friend, Sheila Shutt, Evansville, Indiana; several aunts and uncles.
