HARTFORD…Tony Cliff Hardy, Sr., a resident of Hartford, died late Friday night, May 15, 2015, at his sister’s home in Columbia. He was 61.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 21, 2015, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Clifton McWhorter officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, near Shorterville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary.
Mr. Hardy, son of the late Clifton Lemerial Hardy and Ruby Nell Grace Hardy, was a native of Dothan, where he lived until moving to Hartford in 2010. He was a graduate of Dothan High School and served his country in the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard. Mr. Hardy was employed with Michelin Tire, Inc. as a Maintenance Technician. He attended Center Ridge United Methodist Church in Hartford.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Sarah Jean Weaver (David), Norfolk, VA; two sons, Cliff Hardy, Newton and Jeremy Speller, Columbia; a sister, Marilyn Money (Freddie), Columbia; a brother, Ricky Hardy (Pam), Dothan; two grandchildren, Jase Weaver and Brayden Weaver; his Nannie, Delores Hall and the mother of his children, Jean M. Hardy Doeberl, both of Napier Field; several aunts and uncles; two nieces, Michelle Lisenby and Amber Hardy; three nephews, Jamie Money, Freddie Paul Money, and Ryan Hardy; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Jason Lisenby, Garrett Lisenby, Jamie Money, Freddie Paul Money, Jr., Ryan Hardy, Colby Money, Don Pickle and George Duby.
