James Anthony "Tony" Seay, 61, a resident of Dothan passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at his residence.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scotty Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.


Mr. Seay was born February 16, 1955 in Houston County and lived the early part of his life in Enterprise. He attended Geneva High School and moved to Dothan in the early 1980's and resided here most of his adult life. He was employed with Bishop's Clean Care for several years which he later purchased and was also a manager and later a partner with Pro-Master for several years prior to his retirement. Tony enjoyed camping and fishing and spending time with his family. He loved riding the country roads and especially enjoyed spending time every day with his best friend Rev. Jimmy Maddox.


Mr. Seay was preceded in death by his parents, James and Opal Seay, his infant brother, James Lamar Seay, and his infant granddaughter, Leah Katherine Seay.


Survivors include his son Keith (Nikki) Seay; a brother, Larry (Martha) Seay; nieces, Cheryl Hodges and Melanie Steed; special friends, Jimmy and Becky Maddox and family; his canine companion, Angel.
