Burial will take place at Midland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 pm.

Twylia Parker, 70, a resident of Midland City passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020.
Funeral services in honor of Twylia will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 3:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Kelly officiating. Burial will take place at Midland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 pm.
Twylia was born on November 3, 1949 in Houston County and moved to Midland City at an early age. She was a 1968 graduate of Dale County High School. Twylia worked with Ansell Inc. in Dothan for 23 years and with WDHN and later with Whatley Supply until her medical retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially fishing and golfing with Douglas. She loved to travel to Houston, Texas to spend time with her family, she loved the mountains in Tennessee, and watching Alabama Football. Twylia was a member of Midland City United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Douglas Parker; her son, Doug (Tina) Parker, II; her grandson, Hayden Parker; her brother, Lamar Spence; her sister, Glenda McCathern; her brothers-in-law, Don Parker and Ben Parker; her sister-in-law, Shirley Dean; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Twylia was preceded in death by her brother, Donice Spence and her sister, Gloria Riley.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Arvin McCathern, Jr., Brad Brockett, Brett Brockett, Gavin Goss, Ryan Cochran, and Phillip Parker.
