Tyrone Stuart King, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2023, in Lithonia, GA. Born on November 10, 1960, Tyrone's life was marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his community.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, September 2, 2023, in the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug Seale officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bernice King, three brothers, Michael Bryant, Gary King, and Edward King , and a sister, Janice Thornton.
Tyrone was the cherished husband of Johnnie Mae King for 37 years and the proud father of Jakira King. He was a loving brother to Byron (Cheryl) King of Prattville, AL, James King, Jr. of Dothan, AL, Ezekial (Linda) King of Cleveland, OH, Edward (Jerleen) King, Bernard King, and Kenneth Dean of Headland, Alabama. He was also a dear brother to his sisters Mavis (Arthur) Simpson, Annie Knight (JD) Carroll of Headland, AL, Bernid Dunlap of Dothan, AL, and Jamie (Bobby) Benton of Headland, AL. A sister-in-law Jessie Murray of Montgomery AL and a brother-in-law, Casher Lewis Sr, of Elba, AL.
Tyrone's professional life was marked by a commitment to healthcare. He served as a pharmacy technician supervisor for 38 years at Emory Health Care in Atlanta, GA, and spent 27 years with Gwinnett County Northside Hospital. His dedication to his work was evident to all who knew him, including his coworkers and close friends Peter Springer, Lawanna Ruff (Alton), Rosemary, and Calvin Bolten, Dr.Anthony (Tony) Scott PharmD-MBA, and Orlando Davenport (Kathy) . Very special friends of 35 years Anthony and sons.
Tyrone's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. He leaves behind a host of kin, including aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, who will remember him for his kindness, his strength, and his unwavering love. Tyrone Stuart King will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
