Ursula Street Wallace, 93 years of age, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 21, 2023, at The Terrace at Grove Park Assisted Living Facility in Dothan, Alabama.

Ursula Hutchenson Street was born on August 7, 1930, to William Stephen Street and Frances Marion Golson in Marianna, Florida.

Of greatest importance, Ursula wanted all to know that she was reborn through Christian salvation in February of 1967.

Ursula moved from Marianna, Florida, to Clayton, Alabama, where she met and married Malcolm Alexander Turner, Jr. (known to most as “Pap” Turner) on April 22, 1951. Together, they had three children: Barbara, Angela, and Allen. Ursula and Malcolm were married until Malcolm’s death on February 16, 1976.

On May 10, 1983, Ursula married William Thomas Ventress. They were only married for four years before his passing on February 4, 1987.

Ursula later married Jack Wilfred Wallace on December 30, 1988. They were married for almost 19 years until his death on July 2, 2007. After his passing, Ursula then moved to Dothan, Alabama. She has resided at Grove Park Assisted Living for the past 5 years.

Ursula was known for her unwavering and ever-strengthening faith in Jesus Christ, love for her family (especially her grandchildren and great-grands) and her numerous friends. She also loved gardening, baking her famous cheese straws & sand tarts, sharing stories of the past through silly songs, making up daily jokes to share with all of her Aquasize friends, and giving candy to the staff at Grove Park (who became like family). Ursula will be remembered for her contagious joy, sass, and laughter. She was the most passionate, loving soul who shaped her family’s spirituality by her tireless Christian example. Ursula had an extraordinary zest for life and more spunk than can be put into words; everyone that knew Ursula would definitely agree.

Ursula is preceded in death by her parents, three loving husbands, daughter, Barbara Turner Brabham, brother, William Stephen Street (Ann), and sister, Florida Street Ward (John T).

Ursula is survived by her daughter, Angela Turner Palmer (Wayne) of Dothan, AL; son, Malcolm Allen Turner (Marla) of Clayton, AL; grandchildren, Matthew Curry (Brittany), Allison Curry Chapman (Ben), Tadd (Lauren) & Jed all of Dothan, AL; Kallen Turner of Panama City Beach, FL; and Caleb Brabham of New Orleans, LA; as well as her five great-grandchildren: Monroe and Ladner Curry, Turner and Curry Chapman, and Preston.

On Monday, September 25th, 2023, at 10:30 am, the family will gather in the fellowship hall at the Clayton Methodist Church (46 N. Midway Street, Clayton, AL 36016) for those who would like to express condolences. The funeral will follow at the gravesite (adjacent to the church) at 11:30 am. Reverend Larry Teasley will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Clayton City Cemetery Fund, Post Office Box 5, Clayton, Alabama 36016. Ursula was blessed to not suffer in her passing; she was surrounded by her family with lots of love when she danced into Heaven’s gates.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and the best care provided by the entire staff at The Terrace at Grove Park and Enhabit Home Health and Hospice. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16
