HEADLAND. . .Valda Bradley “Vonnie” Kilcrease of Headland, died Tuesday morning, February 5, 2019, in a Dothan hospital. She was 82.


     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 7, 2019, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ralph Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in northern Henry County. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary.


     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, in c/o Dolly Vickers, 204 Dothan Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.


     Mrs. Kilcrease was born in Blakely, Georgia, and reared in Henry County, near Abbeville. She lived near Graceville and also Baker Hill before moving to Headland in 1999. She was formerly employed by Aladan in Eufaula. Mrs. Kilcrease was a member of the Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynolds Clayton Kilcrease, four sisters, Hortense Bradley, Mary Kinard, Freddie Watford and Ila Morgan, and two brothers, Shelby Bradley and Doyle Bradley.


     Surviving relatives include her son, Steven Kilcrease (Cindy), Headland; numerous nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Janice Thomas and Nina Vickers.
