WEBB…Vanessa Joy Odom, a resident of Webb, Alabama, died Sunday morning, October 28, 2018, in a Dothan hospital. She was 55.
Private memorial services for family and close friends will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 30, 2018, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Mr. Keith Bowen officiating. The family will receive friend from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the mortuary chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Ridge Baptist Church, 1288 Highway 39, North, Donalsonville, GA 39845.
Mrs. Odom was born on July 21, 1963 in Dunn, North Carolina and was reared in Donalsonville, Georgia. She was formerly employed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Noland Hospital Dothan. In earlier years, Mrs. Odom was employed by Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida. While she was employed, she was an active member of the Alabama Society for Respiratory Care. Mrs. Odom is a member of the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Donalsonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Vernon Bledsoe and Syble Oretha Hagler Bledsoe.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Henry Drayton Odom, Webb; her daughter, Bethany Lynn Powell, Perry, GA; two sisters, Jujuan Bowen (Keith) and Amanda Shattles (David), all of Donalsonville; a niece, Meagan Bowen; three nephews, Nick Shattles, Noah Shattles and Clayton Bowen.
