VANGIE  WILSON  MONEY


ABBEVILLE…Vangie Wilson (Dink) Money, a resident of Abbeville, died late Monday night, May 20, 2013, at her home. She was 60.


            Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, May 24, 2013, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mickey Skinner, Reverend Ricky Sowell, and Reverend Matthew Quincey officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary in Abbeville.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Safe Haven Animal Rescue and Kennel (S.H.A.R.K), P.O. Box 216, Abbeville, AL 36310.


            Ms. Money was born and raised in the Wills Crossroads Community of Henry County where she lived all of her lifetime. She was a graduate of Abbeville High School and attended Wallace Community College where she received an Associate’s Degree. Ms. Money was retired, due to disability, from WestPoint Stevens. She loved fishing, gardening, and her family. The loves of her life were Rayne, Evan, Miles, Tessa, and her special canine companion, Jade Scott Simms.


            Surviving relatives include a son, J.W. Money and wife, Leigh, Abbeville; a grandson, Evan Riley Money; two sisters, Janice W. Herndon and husband Carl, Abbeville; Tammy Riley and husband, Jimmy, Echo, AL; a brother, Robert W. (Buddy) Wilson, Enterprise; an aunt, Kathleen Wilson; an uncle, Earl Money, both of Abbeville; several nieces and nephews, Nicholas Wilson, Lindsey Herndon Jeffrey, and Caleb Riley; a special family member, April Bradley Wright.
