Victoria Renee Gilley, a loving and selfless woman known for her friendly demeanor, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2023, in Dothan, Alabama. Born on January 12, 1969, in Columbus, Georgia, Victoria was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.
Victoria graduated from Skipperville High School in 1987 and dedicated her life to serving others. She worked as a Special Education Aide, where she was able to provide people with care and friendship.
Victoria was a woman of many interests. She enjoyed playing a game of pool and singing. Her love for water was evident in her passion for visiting the beach and swimming, a hobby she enjoyed whenever she had the opportunity. For several years, Victoria lived in Northern California, where she embraced the beauty of the west coast. Victoria was a member of the Living Hope Church in Dothan. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and guidance.
Victoria is survived by her mother, Lula Myrl Ozment; her sister, Sylvia Kelley; her nephews, Joseph and Joshua (Andrea) Kelley; and her niece, Lisa Walz (Rick). She was a beloved aunt to eight great-nieces and nephews, Gabby, Lawson, Jameson, Lorelai, Grayson, Jaylen, Charlie Belle, and Zack. Victoria was preceded in death by her father, Moody Earl Gilley, and her dog, Copper, who was the love of her life.
Victoria's life was a testament to her loving, friendly, and selfless nature. She was a beacon of positivity, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. As we remember Victoria, we celebrate the life of a woman who lived with passion and purpose. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of the importance of kindness, compassion, and love.
