Viki Davis of Enterprise, Alabama passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 23, 2023, at the age of 64. She passed away peacefully while on vacation with her family.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Pastor Ron Wagner officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory from 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. Memorial donations may be made in Viki’s name to the local SOS Animal Shelter, 25944 Alabama 134, Enterprise, AL 36330.
Viki was born in Pullman, Washington on June 15, 1959, to father James VanZee and mother Judith Friedman. Viki was the oldest of three children.
Viki met her husband Anthony Davis in Virginia while he was stationed at Fort Belvoir. She supported her husband’s military career for more than 30 years and was blessed with three children of her own. Viki and Tony spent their years raising their three children and enjoying their grandchildren in retirement. Those who loved Viki know that her being a Mimi was her greatest joy in life.
Many of Viki’s friends and family would describe her as one that always had a hug to give, smile to share, or shoulder to lean on. Her selfless love was evident in everything she did. She brought joy to so many lives and was a shining example of how to love.
She was preceded in death by her parents Col (Ret) Arthur and Judith Friedman of Enterprise, AL; LTC (Ret) James VanZee of Sequim, Washington; and her loving husband CW5 (Ret) Tony Davis.
Viki is survived by her children, Trevor Davis, Montgomery, AL; Sean Davis, Montgomery, AL; Rachel Murphy (Ryan), Haymarket, VA; grandchildren Gavin, Lyla and Matt McDonald, Lexington Park, MD; Zoie Davis, Prattville, AL; Rowan, Callum, Darcy, and Sullivan Murphy, Haymarket, VA; brother, Kirk VanZee (Debbie), Aiken, SC; Larry VanZee, Endicott, NY; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Regina Davis, Jonesborough, TN; as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
