Virginia Ann Davis Lowe (affectionately known as Ann) publicly dedicated her life to Jehovah God on December 7, 1968 and remained a faithful servant of until she passed away on the afternoon of April 7, 2021 at 1:50 p.m.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 via Zoom with Kurt Valley officiating. The family will also visit friends following the service via Zoom. Flowers are also being accepted at the family residence.

Ann was born on November 27, 1949 to the late Harvey Davis, Sr. and Laura Ann Davis of Natchitoches, Louisiana.  In 1960, Laura Ann Davis moved to New York, and after three years, she sent for Ann and her brother Harold Sr. to live with her in New York.

After arriving in New York at the tender age of 13, Ann attended and graduated from Whatley Junior High School and Louis D. Brandies High School.  After high school, she worked various jobs in midtown Manhattan including the Rockefeller Center and Chase Manhattan Bank.

Baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Virginia Ann attended the Morningside Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New York, where she served as a vacation pioneer and helped a number of people to recognize God’s sovereignty and theocratic order.

On April 17, 1977, Virginia Ann was united in marriage to Tommy Lowe, Jr., a native of Dothan, Alabama, who was on assignment at the Bethel Headquarters.  Later in the year 1977, the couple returned to Dothan where their three children were born:  Andrey, Washonda and Raymond.

Virginia Ann continued her service to Jehovah God while raising all three of her children.  She was best known for her giving spirit and her ability to preach to all people wherever she went, as she served as a regular pioneer for 25 years.  Her strong faith in God helped her endure and accomplish many things in her life.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband:  Tommie Lowe, Jr.; their three children:  Andrey (Shalynda) Lowe of Deatsville, Alabama, Washonda (Geoffrey Ivan) Bailey and Raymond (Brandy) Lowe; two brothers:  James Davis of Bronx, New York and Harold Davis, Manhattan, New York; one sister who preceded her in death Joyce Marie Davis.  Ann was most proud of her two grandchildren:  Laura Kendall Lowe and John Tyler Lowe.  She spent a great deal of time with both of them. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements. (334) 699-3888. Please sign the guestbook online at www.gloverfuneral.com
