Virginia Hillman was born September 9, 1923 in Gainesville, Florida to Eulice And Lois Marie Bennett. She was the oldest of 9 children.She passed away peacefully in her home on May 4, 2014.


 


Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


 


Preceding her in death is her husband, Robert Arnold Hillman, Sr. and her son, Robert Arnold Hillman, Jr. Survivors include her two children, Curtis Hillman, Sr. (Darlene) and Debbie Hillman. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Crystal Marie Burns (Tyler) of St. Louis, Missouri, Sara Whitman (Shawn) of Tallahassee, Florida, Ashley Wilson of Dothan; Curtis Hillman, Jr. and his wife of Eufaula, Alabama, Heath Hillman (Dina) of Tampa, Florida, Robert Arnold Hillman III (Terri) of Dothan. There are also 6 great-grandchildren.


 


Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who has gone to join her husband to whom she was married for 62 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dothan and lived her life close to God.


 


She was primarily a homemaker and wonderful mother, who also worked part-time as a telephone operator and at Sears.


 


She grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and lived in numerous places during her husband’s military career. She lived in Dothan since 1950.


 


The family is grateful for the 90 years that she lived, the love, kindness and wisdom she shared. They lovingly release her to the Lord.
