ABBEVILLE. . .Virginia Vinson Money, a resident of the Screamer Community of Henry County, died Friday night, April 22, 2022, in a Dothan hospital. She was 96.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 P.M. Sunday, April 24, 2022, in the Chester Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Randy Stokes and Reverend Larry Sowell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 4:30 P.M. Sunday in the church sanctuary.
Mrs. Money was born and reared in the Screamer Community of Henry County, daughter of the late Marvin Greene Vinson and Lodell Calhoun Vinson. She formerly lived in Edison, Georgia but lived in Henry County most of her lifetime. Mrs. Money was a member of the Chester Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Milton H. Pate, Sr., W. T. Eubanks and James W. “Sport” Money, a daughter, Mary Pate Freilich, a grandson, Casey Head, two sisters, Rebecca Peterman and Agnes Boggs and two brothers, John Pat Vinson and Jack E Vinson and a son-in-law, Ray Yance.
Surviving relatives include five daughters, Lillian Yance, Dothan; Ginger Fountain (Hugh), Edison, GA; Judy Hayes (Terry), Leesburg, GA; Debbie Jordan (Tony), Abbeville; and Beth McElroy (Charles), Abbeville; a son, Milton H. Pate, Jr. (Debra), Rincon, GA; a son-in-law, Tony Freilich, her step-children, David Money (Karen), Vickie Cleveland (Don), and Denise Hobbs (Jason); a sister, Martha Sue Ganous, Newton; and a sister-in-law, Melba Vinson; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several step-grandchildren
