VIVIAN FARMER FAILS
KINSEY…Vivian Farmer Fails, a resident of Kinsey, died Friday afternoon, February 28, 2014, in the Extendicare Health & Rehabilitation Center in Dothan. She was 87.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 3, 2014, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Jack Wingate officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the mortuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Mrs. Fails was born and reared in Henry County, near Headland, daughter of the late Charlie Wesley Farmer and Lillie Snellgrove Farmer. She lived in Dothan before moving to Kinsey in 1963. Mrs. Fails was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was formerly employed by Wesley Manor and Extendicare as a nurses aide. Mrs. Fails was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Lee Fails, a son, Charles Fails, and a brother, James W. Farmer.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Ann Fails Ard (Ted), Kinsey; four grandchildren, Starla Hudson (Stan), Tracey Dunn (Jamey), Stacey Capps (Chris), and Amy Doyle (Clay); eight great-grandchildren, Stanley Hudson, Wesley Hudson, Zack Nowell, Emma Grace Dunn, Kathryn Capps, Brandon Capps, Clarke Doyle, and Bentley Doyle; a niece, Janice Martin (Reed).
Serving as active pallbearers will be great-grandsons, grandsons-in-law, and Hunter Whatley.
