Walter Clay McDonald, a resident of Wesley Manor in Dothan, died Friday, July 13, 2012. He was 91.


 


Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. , Sunday, July 15, 2012, at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church with Rev. Phil Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 P.M., one hour prior to service.


 


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tabernacle United Methodist Church Building Fund, 4205 S. Brannon Stand Road, Dothan, AL 36305


 


Mr. McDonald was born in Geneva County, AL and was a Veteran of the WWII and the European Theatre Receiving both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a farmer, a courier for Eye Center South and was retired from South East Alabama Medical Center.


 


Mr. McDonald is preceded in death by his parents Clara McLaney and Barton McDonald and two sisters Miriam Berry and Mary Johnson.


Survivors include his daughter Elaina Molina of Texas, one sister, Mellijo Helms,  one brother, Rev. Hugh McDonald and several nieces and nephews.
