Walter Edmond "Ed" Compton 88 of Elba, AL departed this life Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Medical Center Enterprise. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Donnie Marler officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home 325 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, AL 36301.

Survivors include: Wife - Peggy Pauline Compton, Elba, AL, Son - Tom (Nena) Compton, Chancellor, AL, Daughter - Pamela (Danny) Jordan, Elba, AL, Son - Phillip (Summer) Compton, Elba, AL, Brother - Glaster (Bertha) Compton, 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Mr. Ed was preceded in death by a daughter Debbie Duncan and Son Larry Edmond Compton.

Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Compton family.
