Waldon Lee “Bud” Hall, 82, a resident of Dothan, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2012, with family members by his side.


 


Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, November 2, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Chapel with Reverend David Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.


Serving as pallbearers will be the grandchildren.


Honorary pallbearers will be the Fellowship Sunday School Class.


 


Mr. Hall was born on May 18, 1930, in Lineville, Alabama. He was raised in Montgomery and moved to Dothan area in 1963. He was a dedicated employee for Circle City Drywall for the past 20 years until he recently retired.


 


Mr. Hall was an All-American man who loved spending time with his family and friends, going to Sunday School and church, and making his yard and gardens beautiful. However, he was most passionate about sports-from refereeing his own children in Little League baseball and softball to never missing a game of his favorite sports teams, The Atlanta Braves and The Alabama Crimson Tide. He could be found at any moment planting roses for his wife, cheering on his team, grilling a big meal for his family, or making his grandchildren laugh.


Mr. Hall is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Nell Hall of Dothan; son, “Bud” Jr. and Donna Hall of Virginia; son, David and Brenda Hall of Dothan; son, Andy and Pamela Hall of Dothan ; daughter, Barbara and Tom Reece of Graceville;


son, Bill and Valerie Hall of Mississippi; son, Bob and Norma Hall of Texas; daughter, Pam and Joe North of Taylor; son, Gary and Robyn Hall of Texas; daughter, Marti and Fred Burch of Arizona; daughter, Becky Hall of Florida; and son, Geoff Hall of Georgia. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren., sister, Zula Mae Brown and Louise Brazda of Montgomery, and numerous nieces and nephews.


Mr. Hall is preceded in death by his father and mother, Andrew and Mallie Hall; brothers, Frank, Sam, and Guy Hall; sister, Mary Funderburk; and brother-in-law, Hoover Brown.


The family would like to thank Junior Kelley for his continued friendship and support to Mr. Hall. They would also like to express their appreciation for Nurse Natalie and the Gentiva Hospice for their special care and support during this time of need.


 


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Hall’s name to Highland Park United Methodist Church 1619 South Park Ave. Dothan, AL 36301 or Gentiva Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL 36302.
