Walter Turner Redmond, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday April 19, 2012 at his residence. He was 84.


 


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 3 P. M. from the Chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Allie Freeman and Reverend Dwight Deal officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home Directing.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 P. M. one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.


Mr. Redmond was owner and operator of Redmond Seafood Bay for years; he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and loved fishing.


 


He was preceded in death by his parents; John Walter and Myrtis Turner Redmond.


 


Survivors include his wife, Thelma Redmond of Dothan; One daughter Tami Wright and husband Larry of Dothan; Grandchildren, Heather Milloy and  partner Amy of Dothan, Ashley Peters and husband Danny of Newville, AL and Jordan Wright of Dothan; Great Grandchildren, Layla and Lainey Peters. Four sisters; Marinel Wright of Richmond, VA, Virginia Granberry of Dothan, AL; Judy Archey of Starke, FL and Joann Miller and husband Roger of Andalusia, AL; several nieces and nephews.
