TAYLOR, ALABAMA…Walter William Weaver, a resident of Taylor, died Thursday, April 8, 2021, in a Dothan hospital. He was 74.
There are no funeral or memorial services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Weaver was born in Grenada, Mississippi and was reared on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve. Mr. Weaver later moved to the Dothan area in 1981, where he retired as a Salesman in the plumbing business. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Albert Weaver and Jim Hoye Weaver, a grandson, Kameron Weaver, and two brothers, Richard Weaver and Charles Albert Weaver, II.
Surviving relatives include his daughter, Shelli Weaver Smith (Scott), Pass Christian, MS; his son, Russel Dee Weaver; a step-daughter, Cynthia Grice (Jonathan); a brother, Jim Weaver (Meb), Diamondhead, MS; three grandchildren, Hayden Smith, Tucker Smith and Devon Weaver; two step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Debbie Somma and Gina Medley for the loving care and true friendship shown to Mr. Weaver during his illness.
