Mrs. Wanda Jean Napier Whitehead Dollar, age 86, a resident of Dothan, passed peacefully, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Westside Terrace.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Casey McCall and Tara Ingram speaking. Burial will follow in Cottonwood City Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing.

The family will be receiving friends from 1:30 pm until 2:15 pm prior to services on Tuesday.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

Mrs. Dollar was born on March 13, 1937, in Houston County and grew up in Cottonwood.  She retired as the office manager of Beall Peanut Co. in Cottonwood.  Mrs. Dollar enjoyed square dancing and playing cards.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cottonwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Hadee Napier, two husbands, Winfred Whitehead, and Ted Dollar; daughter, Charlotte McCall and son, Ricky Whitehead; 3 sisters, Betty Beverett, Sara Smith, and Margie Mathis; 4 brothers, Jerry Napier, Billy Napier, J.L. Napier, and Bobby Napier.

Survivors include: daughter, Sheila Thomley (Mack), Dothan; 7 grandchildren, Alyssa Dorsey (Matthew), Kitt Thomley (Alison), Tara Ingram (Eston), Casey McCall (Niki), Charlie Brad McCall, Colby Whitehead (Ashley), Kirby Bates (Brock), 19 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Martha Kate Roney. 

Pallbearers will be Brad McCall, Colby Whitehead, Eston Ingram, Kitt Thomley, Jim Wagner and Chuck McCall.
