WENDAL PARMER
HEADLAND, AL… Wendal Parmer a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away late Saturday evening, January 14, 2023, at his home. He was 64.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Joey Pettis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2431 West Main Street, Suite 1102, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
Mr. Parmer was born in Headland, Alabama to the late George Junior Parmer and Grace Adkison Parmer. He lived his entire life in the Headland, Alabama area. He was a supervisor for Custom Components and was engaged in farming most of his life. He loved working with his hands. He had a passion for woodworking. He loved to dance where he would sweep the love of his life (Faye Parmer) off of her feet, every chance he got. He always had to have the last word. He was of the Baptist faith.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Sheila Smothers, Wayne Parmer, Stevie Parmer, Donald Parmer, and Bruce Parmer.
Leaving to cherish his memories is his wife of forty-two years, Faye Clenny Parmer; his daughters, Sharon Dobbs (Mark) and Tami Barnes (Jimmy); his sons, Eddie Parmer and Wendal Parmer; his seven grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
