Wendell Winston Baker of Geneva, AL passed away at his home on Thursday, October 10, 2024. He was 82 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.  

Wendell was born on March 10, 1942, to the late Mildren “Bill” and Evelyn Mills Baker. Wendell proudly served and retired from the United States Army after 23 dedicated years of service. After his retirement, he along with his wife Carolyn, owned and operated Baker Car Hauling for many years.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Gary Baker, Linda Baker Leavins, and Glenda Baker.

Wendell is survived by his wife, Carolyn Baker; two sons, Randall “Randy” Baker (Rene), and Tony Griffin; two grandchildren, Samantha Baker, and Chase Dakota Griffin; one great granddaughter; two siblings, Tanya Crews (Jerry), and Dennis Baker; brother-in-law, Sherwood Leavins; and many nieces and nephews.
