ECHO COMMUNITY. . .Wesley Wayne Reynolds, a resident of Medford, Oregon, formerly of Echo, Alabama in Dale County, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in Medford, Oregon. He was 31.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., (Pacific Time), Saturday, July 29, 2023, in the Harvest Baptist Temple in Medford, Oregon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 31, 2023, in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, near Abbeville, Alabama, with Dr. Stanley Outlaw and Dr. David Outlaw officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 31, 2023, in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Grants Pass Baptist Church, 1465 NE 6th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526.
Wesley Reynolds was born in Ozark and was reared between the Echo and Bertha communities of Dale County. He was a graduate of G.W. Long High School in Skipperville and the Alabama Aviation College in Ozark. Wesley also attended Moody College in Chicago, Illinois where he was involved with ministry to children, adults and the homeless. He was formerly employed as an Avionics Technician with Commercial Jet at Napier Field and as an Aircraft Maintenance Tech at Lockheed Martin in Crestview Florida. Wesley was a member of the Grants Pass Baptist Church, Grants Pass, Oregon. He lived in the Echo Community and Pensacola before moving to Medford in 2020. Wesley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert W. and Mittie Reynolds and Betty Outlaw Halstead.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Bethany Wilson “Beth” Reynolds, three sons, Wyatt Reynolds, Owen Reynolds and Brady Reynolds, all of Medford, Oregon; his parents Winston and Anita Free Reynolds, a sister, Haley Reynolds, all of the Echo Community. Also surviving are Beth’s parents, Debbie and Addison Smith and Gene and Tonya Wilson, a sister-in-law, Chentelle Rice and brothers-in-law, Addison Smith, IV (Kendra) and Jonah Smith (Leah).
Serving as active pallbearers will be Robert Reynolds, Michael Daughtry, Marshall Daughtry, Eulalio G. Elizondo, II, Mike Murphy, Brendt Murphy, Billy Ludlam, Cal Trawick, Michael Murphy and Mack Capps.
