A celebration of life service will be held 2 pm on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home chapel with Fred Bacher officiating. Rendering of military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Helicopter pavilion. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time.
William "Bill" Roderick Hendren passed away on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022. He was 74 years old.

Bill was born on March 15th, 1948 to the late Donald and Wilma Hendren in Mattoon, Illinois. Bill enlisted with the United States Army and served for 22 years, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. Bill was a skilled mechanic and worked as an Aircraft Mechanic at Ft. Rucker for several years. Bill was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved to go to the dragstrip, hang out with friends and was always a helping hand when it came to fixing the bikes. When he wasn't on the bikes drag racing himself, he enjoyed being the crew chief of his son racing, as well as helping his friends on the track who raced. Bill also loved talking with his daughter about music and going to her band concerts to listen to her play. He enjoyed working on his Harley Davidson, taking his wife on motorcycle rides and spending time with his family.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Wilma Hendren; his father-in-law, Albert Milliken Jr.; and his mother-in-law Helen Milliken.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patti R. Hendren; his daughter, Rose Hendren; his son, Billy (Tina) Hendren; his sister, Patty Ann Hendren; and his brothers-in-law, Mike (Royce) and Tim (Kelley) Milliken.
