MIDLAND CITY….William (Bill) Eugene Cory, II, a resident of the Christian Hill Community of Dale County, died late Tuesday afternoon, January 16, 2018, in a Dothan hospital.
There are no services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
Mr. Cory was a native of Texas and moved to the Christian Hill Community in 2007. As a young man, he lived and worked on a ranch in Texas and later managed grocery and jewelry stores in Texas. In later years, he managed the Firearms Department at the Army Air Force Exchange Service at Ft. Rucker. Mr. Cory was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served three tours of duty in Vietnam.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Mary Jo Brannon Jackson, Christian Hill Community; two sons; a sister and a longtime family friend and caretaker, Tony Grantham.
