Obituary: William “Bill” S. Pearsall Jr.

Mr. William “Bill” S. Pearsall Jr. of Enterprise, Al passed away March 1, 2013 at his residence.  He was 68.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes there will be no type of services held. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 5–7 pm at the family residence, 302 Tartan Way, Enterprise, Al.

Bill was born on November 27, 1944 in Washington, D.C. to William and Mary Pratt Pearsall. Bill and his family moved into Enterprise, Al in 1986. He served in the United States Army for over 21 years and retired as an NCOIC of the military police at Fort Rucker.  He served in Viet Nam, two tours to Korea as well as multiple duty stations in the United States.  Bill was a man of his word, yet he spoke very little. After retirement he spent his remaining years in Enterprise as a maintenance contractor for many of the real estate offices in the wiregrass area.  He was also instrumental in the housing boom of recent years.

Bill was preceded in death by his father William Pearsall.

Survivors include his loving wife Neva Pearsall, step-daughter, Karrie Scanlon; step-son Jack Scanlon (Missy), all of Enterprise; grandchildren: Jacob Scanlon, Frenso, CA, Ashley Lovejoy, Memphis, TN, Jaxon and Spencer Scanlon, Enterprise, AL, mother, Mary Marie Pearsall, Panama City, FL.

His entire family and friends want to thank Covenant Hospice for their outstanding services during Bill’s brief bout with cancer.

The family asks that any donations or memorials be made to the Wounded Warriors fund on Bill’s behalf.
