William Clyde “Bill” Pritchett, age 86 of Dothan Alabama, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Marianna Health & Rehab. William Pritchett was born October 16th in 1930 to the parents of William Edgar and Johnnie Clyde Guthrie.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley Pritchett and Lee Pritchett. Survivors include, his wife Joann Pritchett; son, Billy Pritchett (Mary); daughter, Eileen Pritchett; two step daughters, Debbie Whitehurst (Danny), and Katie Peeler (Steve); one step son, Russell Lee (Nita); thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Pritchett (Claude), and Aubrey Pritchett (Hilda); three sister-in-law’s, Betty Pritchett, Polly Pritchett, Doris Enfinger, and several nieces and nephews.

Bill not only served his country in the United States Air Force, but retired after 25 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who enjoyed gardening, loved people, and was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Bay Springs Baptist Church on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 2PM with Dr. Scott Cox and Reverend Coley Holloway officiating with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. Viewing will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Sunday, one hour prior to service. Following the funeral services burial will be at Memory Hill Cemetery.

Family will be accepting flowers or contributions can be made to Bay Springs Baptist Church Building Fund.

Pallbearers will include the grandsons, Sean Whitehurst, Chad Whitehurst, Brandon Lee, Kyle Peeler, Seth Peeler, and Austin DeLoney.

Honorary Pallbearers will include the grandson son-in-law’s.
