William Curtis Grigsby, 84, of Dothan passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at his residence.


Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Totten and Rev. Bob Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service.


Mr. Grigsby was born March 12, 1928 in Rockwood, TN and lived there the early part of his life graduating from Rockwood High School and was married in 1946 to Imogene Durham. He resided in Dillon, SC prior to moving to Mayaguez, Puerto Rico where he was employed in middle management with Burlington Industries. He moved to Dothan in 1966 and worked with Dothan Hosiery Mill until his retirement. Mr. Grigsby was a member of First Baptist Church in Dothan.


Survivors include his wife of 66 years Imogene Grigsby of Dothan; sons, Don Grigsby of Greenwood, SC, and Richard (Virginia) Grigsby of Dothan, Nancy Grigsby of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Keith (Sherri) Grigsby, John Eric (Kristi) Grigsby, Jennifer Grigsby (Sam) Totten, Amy Grigsby (Bart) Hartsfield, Paige Peterson (Bobby) Keel; a host of great-grandchildren also survive.
