Mr. William Emmett Kilpatrick of Samson, Alabama died Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the age of 91.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home, with Ross Kilpatrick and Bro. Pete Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Assembly of God Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. Visitation will be held Wednesday beginning at 2:30 until time of funeral service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Chapel Church in Samson.
Emmett was born June 24, 1930, in Geneva County Alabama to the late Willie Lee and Allie Mae Davis Kilpatrick. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Emmett enjoyed farming, his cows but especially his John Deere tractor. He was a member of Trinity Chapel Church in Samson, AL, serving the Lord and loving God’s people. He truly loved his family and friends; God always came first in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack Kilpatrick.
Survived by his wife of 58 years: Pasteen Johnson Kilpatrick of Samson, AL; two sons: Larry and Kay Kilpatrick and Terry Kilpatrick, of Samson, AL; six grandchildren: Erica Kilpatrick Garza, Houston, TX, Ross Kilpatrick (Amy) Dadeville, AL, Kristin Little, Hattiesburg, MS, Murphy Little (Erin Abigail), Hattiesburg, MS, Alicia Kilpatrick, Geneva, AL and Taryn Kilpatrick, Geneva, AL; seven great-grandchildren; Kara Patterson (Justin), Cameron Garza, Kaylee Garza, Khloe Garza, Ellie Kate Kilpatrick, Emmett W. Kilpatrick and Jack Kilpatrick; very special nephew whom he loved like another son; Treddy Kilpatrick (Sherri) Geneva, AL; special sisters-in-law, Lois Kilpatrick, Samson, AL, Cathy Wise, Samson, AL, Glennie Mullins, Snellville, GA, Ann Ellenburg, Samson, AL, Gail Barton, Samson, AL and Letty Jones, Samson, AL; two special brother-in-laws, Noah “Bug” Johnson and Al Johnson (Tina) of Samson, AL.
Pallbearers: Mitch Rushing, Tyler Rushing, Michael Woodham, Alex Johnson, Jason Johnson, Cole Dean, Cory Dean and Lee Chuchwell.
