ABBEVILLE, ALABAMA. . .William Ernest (Bill) Daniel, a resident of Stoneridge Estates on Lake Eufaula in Henry County, died Monday afternoon, June 22, 2015, at his home. He was 77.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (C.D.T.) Thursday, June 25, 2015, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Don Voyles officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery-East. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. (C.D.T.) Thursday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Mr. Daniel was born near Thomaston, Georgia and was reared in Manchester, Georgia, son of the late Goode Price Daniel and Eva Myrtle Gordy Daniel. He was a 1956 graduate of Manchester High School and attended Perry Business College in Columbus, Georgia. Mr. Daniel retired from Warm Springs Medical Center as a nursing home and hospital administrator . In earlier years, he was employed by Blue-Cross Blue Shield as a medicare auditor. Mr. Daniel formerly lived in Warm Springs, Georgia before moving to Lake Eufaula in 1984. He was a member of the Manchester Masonic Lodge and was also a Shriner. Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Phyllis Daniel, and a brother, Julian Daniel.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Priscilla Hester Daniel, Abbeville; four daughters, Kathy Trost (Bobby), Monroe, GA; LaFrienda Langley, Zebulon, GA; Renee’ Molette (Robert), Eufaula; and Patina Haley (Nathan), Round Rock, Texas; two sons, Eric Lee Kidd, Grantville, Georgia; and Earnie Daniel (Karen), Manchester, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Dale Daniel, Manchester, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Tonya Jackson (Glenn), Calvin Kidd, Chase Langley (Amy), Anzio Haley, Lance Daniel, Lane Molette, Caleb Kidd, Colby Kidd, Montez Haley, and Lyndsey Molette; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Langley.
