William Floyd McKenzie, a resident of Headland, AL passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on May 6, 1941, in Dothan, AL. William's journey was marked by his kindness and generosity.


Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Monday, January 8, 2024, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Pastor Doug Seale officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


William is preceded in death by his loving parents; Lewis McKenzie and Johnnie Mae Enfinger. sisters, Evelyn Brookins, Frances McCardle, Eulalia Miller; and brothers, James McKenzie, Emmit McKenzie, Don McKenzie, Dennis McKenzie, and Barney McKenzie.


He is survived by his sons, Danny McKenzie (Connie), Randy McKenzie (Christy), Brian McKenzie (Terri), Channing McKenzie (Lori), and Chris McKenzie (Missy); sisters, Martha Golden (Jimmy) and Faye Bullard; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who filled his life with boundless joy.

As a lifelong painting contractor, William's hard work and meticulous craft brightened the homes and lives of many within his community. An avid fisherman, he often could be found with a rod in hand, surrounded by nature and the company of his beloved grandchildren. Fishing was more than a pastime; it was beautiful memories that will remain etched in the hearts of those he touched.

William Floyd McKenzie's warmth and spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His unwavering love and the precious moments shared will forever be treasured by his family and close friends.
