William Foy Wambles, 79, a resident of Cowarts, passed away in a fatal automobile accident, on Monday, August 15, 2022.  He was born in Alabama to the late Jefferson Davis Wambles and Ethel (Moring) Wambles.

A private burial will take place at Memory Hill Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (Greer) Wambles, twin brother, Henry Coy Wambles, brothers, Bobby Wambles, and Ray Wambles, sisters, Louise Zaricor, Frances Henderson, Faye Gilley, and Merle Grice.

Survivors include his children, James L. (Debbie Lynn) Wambles, Kay (Donnie) Hairston, and Melissa (Clay) Miller, twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a special friend, Debra Cherry.
