William Gene "Bill" Palmer of Geneva, Alabama passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at his residence. He was 82 years old. 

Bill, also known as "Billy", was born on September 19, 1941, in Keota, Oklahoma to the late John and Crystal Collins Palmer. He enjoyed working in his yard, woodwork, and loved to fish. He loved his church and was a humble member of the community. He was always willing to help those in need. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Palmer and Larry Palmer. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva with The Rev. Danny Burns and Bro. Ron Thames officiating. Burial will follow at Adoniram Cemetery in Black Under the direction of Shelby Lett of Bottoms Garden Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time. 

Survivors include his wife Barbara Palmer of Geneva; son, Steven Juan Palmer of Geneva; daughter, Stacey Lynn Palmer of Geneva; grandchildren, Joshua Gilmore (Lauren) of Tallahassee, Chase Palmer of Geneva, Billy Bob Palmer of Geneva, Weston Gilmore of Geneva; granddaughters, Cayla Young of Tennessee and Cassie Young of Texas; great grandchildren, Chase "C.J." Palmer, Khalia Gilmore, and Grayson Gilmore; siblings, Diane Pryor (Buck) of Morris, Oklahoma, Tina Collins of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Mona Cavazos (Ruben) of Kyle, Texas, and Lisa Palmer of Falfurrias, Texas, and Herbert (Jug) Burrows of Falfurrias, Texas; several nieces and nephews; a special nephew, Morris Worthington, and special friends, Jason Jordan and Wallace Whitlock. 

Serving as pallbearers: Chase Palmer, Weston Gilmore, James Hall, Joey Hall, Stevie Hall, Greg Worthington, Morris Worthington, and Brandon Jordan. 

Honorary pallbearers: Travis Palmer, Lawrence Palmer, and Matthew Shilling

The family would like to give a special thanks to Southern Care Hospice for your love and care given to our father.
