William Gregory “Greg” Key


William Gregory “Greg” Key, age 57 of Dothan passed away Tuesday morning, October 23, 2018 at his residence under the care of Kindred Hospice and surrounded by his family.


Funeral services for Greg will be held at 11AM Thursday, October 25, 2018 in the Chapel of the Angels at Woodland at Family First Funeral Care with Pastor Mike Griggs officiating and a Eulogy being delivered by Evangelist Novia Brackin. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory, directed by Derek L. Wright and Family First Funeral & Cremation Care. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to funeral time beginning at 10AM.  


Greg was born February 8, 1961 at the Henry County Hospital to the late Harold Junior Key and Wanda Gayle Cureton Key. He lived in Midland City his entire life and was employed as a carpenter by trade. Greg loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, motorcyles and Auburn football. He was also of the Baptist faith.


Survivors include his mother, Wanda Gayle Cureton Key of Midland City; a brother, Tim Key of Troy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Alicia Byrd of Headland and Beverlye (Ronald) Gilley of Rehobeth; several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous dedicated friends also survive.


Care for the Key family is being provided by Derek Wright, Jason Shepard, Randy Crenshaw and staff at Family First Funeral & Cremation Care.
