WILLIAM H. “BILL” HOLLEY, JR.


HEADLAND, AL.…William H. “Bill” Holley, Jr., a resident of Headland, passed away Saturday morning, August 1, 2020, at his home. He was 73.


            Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Misty Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory, before the service.


            Mr. Holley was born in Dothan, AL to the late William Howard “Doc” Holley and Martha Solomon Holley and lived his entire life in Headland. Bill was a 1965 graduate of Headland High School and a 1971 Graduate of Auburn University, where he received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. After returning home from Auburn University, Bill took over and ran the family business, Holley’s Pharmacy, from 1971 until 1986. He was a member of the Headland United Methodist Church. Mr. Holley loved his grandsons who affectionately called him “Poppy”.


            Leaving to cherish his memories is his wife, Teresa Adkins Holley; his daughter, J.J. Holley of Headland; his son, Will Holley of Panama City, FL; his sister, Elizabeth Holley Caneer of Huntsville, AL; his grandsons, Hunter Smith (Emily) of Kodiak, AK, and David Baker of Headland, AL.
