WILLIAM PITT  KENT, SR.

HEADLAND. . .William Pitt (PeeWee) Kent, Sr., a resident of County Road 45, Headland, died early Saturday morning, October 13, 2012, in a Dothan hospital. He was 58.

            Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Thomas D. Gamble officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the mortuary.

             In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, P.O Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL. 36302.

            Mr. Kent was born in Montgomery, son of the late B C Kent and Mary Louise Couch Kent. He lived in Dothan before moving to Headland several years ago. Mr. Kent was formerly employed by Polyengineering, Inc. of Dothan as a surveyor. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Collins and brothers, Robert Couch, Bobby Lee Kent and Butch Kent.

            Surviving relatives include a son, William Pitt Kent, Jr., Tuscon, AZ; two sisters, Jo Nowlin and husband, Robert, Headland; Wanda Crider and husband, Steve, Dothan; two step-children whom he helped to raise, Shane Turvin and Keith Turvin; four step-grandchildren and a special friend, Dottie Kent, Dothan.
