WILLIAM RAYMOND “BILL” WOFFORD
DOTHAN, AL… William Raymond “Bill” Wofford, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Dothan Hospital. He was 62.
Memorial services will be held 4:30 P.M. Monday, August 7, 2023, at the Grimes Community Center, 1984 County Road 84, Dothan, Alabama 36303, with Reverend James Allen Mercer officiating. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. William “Wild Bill” Wofford was born in Lafayette, Georgia to the late James Dewey Wofford and RuthAnn Davis Wofford. He was raised and lived in Pike County, Illinois until 1979 when he moved to Dothan. He was employed as a mechanic, as well as paint and body repair. He loved anything to do with cars. Hot rods were his favorite, mainly Chevelles and more recently Mustangs. He enjoyed racing, working on cars and rebuilding them. The only thing he loved more than cars was his family.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his daughters, Amber Nowlin (Josh) and Amanda Brasseal (Michael); his sons, Joseph Miller (Sable) and Kaiden Rainey; his sisters, Tammie Everidge (Danny), Ann Kindle (Ray), Robin Tedford (Dean), Tina Ard (Richie); his brothers Jim Wofford (Tawanna) and John Wofford (Susan); his grandchildren, A.J., Phoenix, Ayden, Jessica, Austyn, Kyndal, Gage, and Josey; his great-grandchild, Penelope; his many other nieces, nephews, cousins.
