William W. Graft, a resident of Dothan passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at a local hospital. He was 92 Years old.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Horace Freeman and Mr. Vern Daley officiating.
Mr. Graft was born November 15, 1924 in Los Angeles, California and spent the early part of his life there. He was a tool maker by trade and became a cost analyst working for Federal Mogul when he retired. Once retired, he moved to Ozark Alabama and later moved to Dothan in 2002. He loved the game of golf, football and was an avid bowler in his earlier years. In his later life, after the loss of his wife Mary, he found peace and friendship at the Taylor Senior Center where he socialized and played dominoes with the members.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Graft; his mother, Edna Jemima Van Nest, and father Ernest W. Graft.
Survivors include his sons William Graft (Penelope) of CO, Edward Kirkland (Kathy) of La Veta, CO; his daughters, Sherry Graft, Diane Graft, Joyce Kinsey (Rob) of Baltimore, MD and Connie Whorton of Russellville, AR; his grandchildren Phillip Labuda (Erica), Nicole Labuda, Kimberly Wade, all of Arkansas, Kelly and Keri Bankston of Ozark; his great-grandchildren, Tylor, Blake, Brooke (Matt), Jared, Kane, Brielle, and Emerie; and great-great-grandson, Waylon.
