Willie Lawrence Jennings, III of Samson, Alabama passed away May 29, 2024, at the age of 73.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the home of his son, 4129 Alford Road, Samson, AL 36477. At the family’s request, please RSVP to his son, Joe Jennings, at 334-449-3741.

Willie was born in Ocala. FL on May 12, 1951, to the late Willie Lawrence, Jr. and Leona Pearl Cruce Jennings. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a heavy equipment operator and skilled mechanic most of his adult life. Hard work was no stranger to Willie, and he taught his family the same values.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert and Cathy Jennings.

Willie is survived by five children, Tracy Weeks (Slim) of Bonifay, FL, Joseph Jennings (Michelle) of Samson, AL, Jessica Jennings of Samson, AL, Hunter Jennings of Romeo, FL and Austin Jennings of Samson, AL; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one brother, James Jennings (Glenda) of Summerfield, FL; his special canine companion, “Peanut”, and a number of extended family and friends.
