Willie Lee Sistrunk, Jr., a resident of Kinsey, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at a local hospital. He was 65.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Wings of Deliverance Community Church, Headland. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends in Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 5-7 pm.

Mr. Sistrunk was born on January 1, 1950 in Dothan and lived there the early years of his life. He moved to Los Angeles, California and resided there for several years. Mr. Sistrunk joined the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he returned to Los Angeles and lived there until 2001 when he moved back to Dothan. He was employed with Perdue Farms until his retirement in June, 2014. Mr. Sistrunk was a huge LA Lakers fan. He loved his family and grew to love the Lord.
