WILLIE OSCAR (BRO) HUMPHREY
HEADLAND, AL… Willie Oscar (Bro) Humphrey, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Saturday morning, December 11, 2021, at a Dothan hospital. He was 83.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Delvick J. McKay officiating. Burial will be 3:00 P.M. EST at ST. Paul Primitive Baptist Church in Gretna, Florida, with Reverend Daniel William officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory before the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Humphrey was born in Headland, Alabama to the late Marvin Humphrey and Lillie Mae Daniels Humphrey. He was a retired farmer. After he retired from farming, he worked and retired from the City of Quincey, Florida in the public works department. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his step-father, Willis Floyd; his sister, Marvine Williams; and his brother, Frankie Lee Floyd.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Catherine Mathis Humphrey; his daughters, Carolyn Saucier (Willie), Francetta Humphrey Moore, and Shleen Humphrey Hayes; his sons, Tyrone Humphrey and Marvin (Boone) Humphrey; his sisters, Marva Jean Ferrell (Darvis) and Willie Nell Brantley; his eleven grandchildren; his eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be his grandsons.
