Willie Pearl Sikes, known as “Peck” to family and “Ma Pearl” to friends, of Geneva passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022. She was 82. A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ben Vickers, officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, directing.
Mrs. Sikes was born in Enterprise, AL on May 19, 1939, to the late Hobbie and Mary Emma Greathouse Thomas. Prior to her retirement she worked as an RN at Wiregrass Medical Center for many years. She loved to make the most delicious cakes for her friends all around town. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Gus Sikes; two sisters, Rosie Parnell and Louise Mitani; and three brothers, Bennie Thomas, Henry Thomas, and Ruben Thomas.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Anna Thomas of Geneva; close friend and caregiver, Kim Conner and husband, Jamie of New Hope, FL; and their daughter, Summer Conner Holley, and Autumn and Shade; good neighbor, Darren Hales of Geneva; sister, Carolyn Hill of Samson; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Sam and Angel. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the kind and loving care given by Encompass Hospice and to Dr. Kurt Kraft, and his office staff.
