Winnie Jean Jones, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at her home. She was 69.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, April 3, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 4-6 pm.

Mrs. Jones was born on September 5, 1947 in Houston County and lived in Dothan all her life. She was a 1967 graduate of Dothan High School. Mrs. Jones was employed with Dothan Lincoln Mercury and later with Dothan Manufacturing as a secretary until her retirement. She loved to attend country music shows and enjoyed going to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. Mrs. Jones was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Allen Jones; her 2 sisters, Cynthia Henderson and Vicki Bruner; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Jay Jones, Sammy Jones, Tracy Jones, and Robert Holliman.
