Zachary Sizemore, 32, a resident of Dothan, entered the gates to meet his Heavenly Father on August 20, 2016.


A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at New Life Church with Pastor Keener Batchelor officiating. Burial will follow in the Memphis Baptist Church cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park.


Zachary was born July 18, 1984 in Dothan and lived here most of his life. He was a 2002 graduate of Rehobeth High School and received his Cum Laude Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Magna Cum Laude Masters in Business from Troy University Dothan. Zachary was employed with Four Star Freightliner in the accounting department. He dearly loved his job, his boss and his co-workers. He also loved fishing, playing golf and spending time in the outdoors. He was an avid Alabama Football Fan and attended New Life Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Ruby Sizemore and his great-grandparents, Jesse and Inez Stringfellow.


Survivors include his parents, Stevie and Lorri Sizemore; his grandparents, Phillip and Betty Pippin; his sister, Lauren Ashley (Jacob) Gouge; an aunt, Angie Knotts; an uncle, Scottie Sizemore; a nephew, Izrael Gouge; a cousin, Alyssa Sizemore; a host of family and friends.


Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Martinez, Jason Wilson, Stan Casey, Adam Waters, Kyle Gouge and Jacob Gouge. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Moctezuma, Andy Waters, Homer Contreras, Scottie Sizemore and Tim Gouge.


The family would like to express a special thank you to his nurse, Erika Littlefield, and the wonderful staff at Day Spring Hospice for their loving care. Should family and friends desire in lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Dayspring Hospice.
