Zakary Tyler Mazzullo, 11, a resident of Dothan passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Children's Hospital in Birmingham.


Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to aTeam Ministries and Open Arms Ministries.


Zak was born March 6, 2003 in Lafayette, Louisiana and he moved to Dothan in 2010. He attended Girard Elementary School and was in the 5th grade. Zak liked art and he loved to draw, play video games and listen to music. Zak was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marianna, Florida and attended the First Baptist Church of Dothan.


Survivors include his mother Brandy (Michael) Beaty of Dothan, his father Tommy Mazzullo; his brother, Jude Mazzullo; his sister, Brianna Beaty; his grandmother, Joyce Bouch; his half-sister, Kim (Nate) Baez; aunts and uncles, Rick and Michelle Bouch, Donna and Freddy Chapman, Vickie and Mark Evelo, Bob and Shirley Bowman and Marlene Chilcoat.
