Zechery Alexander Thomas, a resident of Dothan passed away Sunday December 19, 2021 at his home.  He was 26.

 

Funeral services will be held Thursday December 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Greater Beulah Baptist Church (254 Headland Ave. Dothan, AL) with Pastor Darry Roberts officiating.  Visitation will be  Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Family First Funeral Care Chapel.

A Time to be Born

Zechery Alexander Thomas was born to the late Matthew Thomas and Dorothenia Thomas on Thursday, December 29, 1994. He was a native of Dothan, where he attended primary and secondary school, graduating from Northview High School in 2016. 

 

A Life Well-Lived 

Zechery maintained involvement in the Dothan community. Known for his unique batting technique, he was a member of the Dothan Miracle League, where he played outfield. Zech extended his athletic endeavors to the Special Olympics, bowling with the Dothan Special Needs Bowling League. He is remembered as an integral member of both teams.

On December 19, 2021, God called Zech home. He is preceded in death by his father, Matthew Thomas, and grandparents, Orian Pearl Johnson, Mary Emma Thomas, and Willie James Bickers. Zech’s legacy will live on through all who love and remember him. He is survived by his mother Dorothenia Thomas, sisters Alexiss Thomas and Joy Thomas (Dothan, AL), grandmother Christine Bickers (Lake Wales, FL), nephews Cristian Graham, Elijah Daniels and Brandon Daniels, and niece Aliyah Caster (Dothan, AL). Zech will also be remembered by a host of deeply loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifetime friends.
