Zolan “Beaver” Trawick, a resident of Prattville, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Prattville Baptist Hospital. He was 83.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Philip Trawick officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon City Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Sunday prior to service time. All social distancing and masking guidelines will be observed.
Mr. Trawick was born on May 22, 1937 to Elmer and Lola Mae Trawick and grew up in Houston County. He later moved to Prattville where he resided for over 50 years. He was employed with Newell & Bush Construction Company most all of his working life. He loved music and enjoyed dancing. He really enjoyed refurbishing his 1958 Chevy truck and entering it in various antique car shows as well as creating his unique metal art pieces.
Mr. Trawick is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Dorothy Anderson Trawick, a daughter, Cathy Trawick Cosby, three brothers including his twin brother, Olan Trawick, Randy Trawick and Jimmy Trawick.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Trawick Gilmore (Jack) and Cindy Trawick Moore (Mark), all of Prattville; two grandchildren, Bart Towne and Tori Moore; one great-grandchild, Rankin Sawyer Towne; a brother, Larry “Buddy” Trawick of Compass Lake; three sisters, Ilona Jackson of Daleville, Dean Braswell of Dothan and Joann Buntin (Greg) of Ashford; several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be: Bart Towne, Joshua Trawick, Max Trawick, Dennis Trawick, Christopher Trawick and Ken Brown.
