LONGSTREET COMMUNITY…Mark is now at home in Glory, in the presence of his Lord and Savior, and our loved ones that have gone before us.

As his earthly days were coming to a close, Mark left this testimony, “I am not distraught or bitter about how my life may end, I am only thankful the Lord gave me the life that I had thrown away”.

Mark has been walking in this new life for 25 or more years now.

A friend recently spoke of Mark saying, “When I think about Mark, I think about how much he loved the Lord. He lives his life wanting to show others the love of God.”

May it be known, that Mark knew and experienced true salvation, and he desired that all who knew him would come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ in total surrender.

This is the comfort Mark had. He knew in Whom he belonged.

Mark is survived by his loving wife Melissa Ann, his precious mother Winnie Ruth, his three children – Mark (Jane) Perkins, Elizabeth (William) Starling, and Matthew (Liz) Perkins, along with their children and grandchildren. Also his stepson Aaron (Erika) Johnson with their children and grandchildren, and stepdaughter Jennifer Johnson (now deceased) and her surviving children and grandchild.

Family is requesting condolences be sent by way of notes or cards to the family’s address at 729 County Road 237, Ozark, AL 36360. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
