NEWTON…Mrs. Martha Ann Williams Delaney, a resident of Newton, died Tuesday morning, February 25, 2025, at her home. She was 79.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Newton City Cemetery with Reverend Jonathan Bost officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Mrs. Delaney, daughter of the late Herman Williams and Annie Merle Griffin Williams, was a native of Newton. She was a 1964 Graduate of Dale County High School and attended Wallace College. Mrs. Delaney was formerly employed as a materials specialist at Fort Rucker with M1. She was a member of Newton Baptist Church and will always be remembered as the one who would assist many people in Newton. Mrs. Delaney was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Williams and sister, Kaye Johnson.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Dana Delaney, Newton; granddaughter, Annika Delaney; nieces, nephews and cousins.
